Introduction

 

Crushed, Amazon miniTV’s most popular series has captivated audiences with its relatable high school drama and heartwarming love story. Following the success of the previous seasons, viewers eagerly anticipate the release of the Season Finale, hoping for more romantic adventures with the return of Sam, the protagonist.

 

Challenges

 

As the Crushed Season Finale approached, we foresighted two main challenges – attracting new viewers who were unfamiliar with the series and matching the expectations of the Crushed fandom that had set a high bar with the success of the series so far.

 

Intended Outcome

 

The Season Finale needed a final stroke to maintain the series’ streak of melting hearts with its relatable high school romance but also bring the fandom together, one last time.

 

Insight

 

The Crushed Fandom is the most active, engaged, and exciting audience in the miniTV universe. So much so that, during pre-announcement, every miniTV post had comments from Crushed fans asking for show updates.

 

Idea

 

To thank our dedicated Crushed fans, reunite their favorite couple, Sam and Aadhya, for one last hurrah.

 

Implementation

 

The third season’s cliffhanger, featuring Sam’s dramatic return, reignited the fandom’s passion for the beloved couple, Sam and Aadhya. As Sam embarked on his mission to win Aadhya back, fans rallied behind him with all sorts of suggestions and the trending hashtag #AadhyaMaanJao. The anticipation reached its peak when Aadhya shared her decision, a.k.a Season 4’s trailer.
To celebrate the dedicated fanbase, a contest was launched to crown the Ultimate Crushed Fan. A series of quizzes and cryptic hints about the release date kept the excitement soaring. However, the audience was still curious about the release date. So, to feed their curiosity, a series of posts repeatedly hinted at a mysterious date – the 9th, conveying a clear message: to start ‘9th ki taiyyari”. The cast and fans alike joined forces to gear up for the show’s launch.
The Season Finale marked a bittersweet end to the beloved show. As a token of appreciation, heartfelt fan comments were printed on t-shirts worn by the cast. The 4-year journey of Crushed concluded with a final, heartfelt goodbye.

And just like the previous seasons, we knew we had Crushed it one last time with the Season Finale when a wave of celebration washed over the crushed fandom as the campaign drew 5.1M + views, 749K+ likes, and 15.5K + comments.
